MBS Engineering Inc. is a private general Engineering Contractor located in San Ramon, CA. MBS specializes in commercial construction projects working with wet and dry utilities, concrete & asphalt, as well as performing EPC services for utility companies (PG&E). Our team is experiencing tremendous growth and we are looking for a General Foreman/Lead Foreman to join our team. We are looking for a hard-working professional who enjoys meeting challenges and surpassing customer expectations.
The ideal candidate will be self- motivated, energetic, team player who can manage crew and run jobs start to finish. Must have experience working on construction sites, have a clean driving record and knowledgeable of OSHA safety standards and procedures.
Job Responsibilities:
· Minimum 2-4 years foreman experience.
· Working with PG&E Mobile Home Park Reconversion Program as an EPC Contractor
· Proficient with utility standards and requirements, experience in CATV, PG&E Gas & Electric, SMUD AT&T, etc...
· Able to read and decipher Individual Utility Plans and Composites.
· Perform daily field inspection of construction operations to ensure work is being completed in compliance with project specifications and monitor safe work practices.
· Review daily production reports, material usage, tracking of hours worked.
· Willingness to work shifts as assigned, including daily overtime and weekends when necessary.
· Knowledge of construction equipment operation and uses.
· Working at Schools, Hospitals, Hotels, Colleges, and Construction Sites (Good behavior, Clean Background Check Required)
· Knowledge of all aspects of job (Hand Digging, Backfill, Equipment Operation, Pipefitting, Underground Pipe Installation, Asphalt/Concrete etc)
· Ability to travel to job sites (Throughout California)
· Trained in Gas Safety a plus
· Knowledge of PG&E standards for Electrical and Gas
· OSHA 30 Safety Training (or willingness to receive) and clean safety record
Physical Requirements:
· Must be capable of working outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
· Must be able to bend, squat and knee, climb ladders and scaffolding.
· Must be able to lift and carry up to 80 pounds unassisted.
Required Skills:
· Clean Background Check
· Current Driver’s License with clean driving record
· Must speak and understand English
· Possess PG&E Qualification Certifications (or willingness to get certified)
· Experience leading and working with a construction crew
· Experience working with pipe fittings
· Experience working with Underground and Above Ground Utilities (Gas, Water, Sewer, Electrical)
· Must be responsible and punctual
· Must be courteous and respectful to all, able to teach and guide other field workers
